Omar Harbi (b. 1989) is a street and fashion photographer brought up in Egypt and Canada. Initially self-taught, he was always eager to learn as much as he could about the different genres of photography. In 2017 he graduated from the General Studies program at The International Center of Photography where he honed his identity as an artist.
His work plays with light and shadow — he chases light as a street photographer, and creates it as a fashion photographer.
Omar is based between Cairo and New York.

We take our surroundings for granted and can somewhat be distracted by over-stimulation, causing us to disregard the beauty in the otherwise mundane. A fascination in the way we interact with our environments both intentionally and unintentionally manifested through photography.
